Kochi Metro: E Sreedharan will be included in the inauguration by Narendra Modi Thiruvananthapuram: after a widespread criticism, "Metro Man" E Sreedharan was invited to the inauguration of Kochi Metro Saturday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, announced Thursday.  The Prime Minister (PMO) invited both Sreedharan and opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala to share Minister Kaiskampally Surendran and BJP State President Kummanem Rajasekheran.  After being clear on Wednesday that Sreedharan was not among the guests to be with Modi on the Dais, Kerala's chief minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, wrote to the PMO.  But the request to include the local legislator PT Thomas on the Dais was not accepted.  Modi will arrive on Saturday morning at Kochi International Airport and will be driven to Pathadipalam Station to catch a train from Kochi to Palarivattom, six kilometers away.  From there, he will drive to the international Jawaharlal Nehru stadium to officially launch the first Kerala metro by addressing a public meeting.  He will return to Delhi after a brief interview with the firm Kerala led by Vijayan.  In the 25-kilometer Kochi metro project, trains will run 13 kilometers between Palarivattom and Aluva from 19 June.  Work on Kochi Metro began in 2012 after the Oommen Chandy government entrusted the project to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, with its senior advisor Sreedharan overseeing it.

Pakistan Anti-Terrorism Court sentenced a man to death for allegedly resorting to blasphemy on Facebook. This order was delivered by a court in Bahawalpur in Punjab province of Pakistan.

Taimoor Raza was found guilty of insulting prophet Muhammad. The 30-Year-Old had a debate with a Man, who is an anti-terrorism agent, on Facebook last year. Raza was taken into custody soon after this debate.

As per Pak's Human Rights Commission, Taimoor Raza is one among the 15 people arrested by Anti-Terrorism Department in 2016 for committing blasphemy.  

Pakistan asked Twitter and Facebook to help it identify users spreading blasphemous content. Even citizens were asked to alert Government when they come across people sharing such content.

Majority of the people aren't happy with Courts awarding death sentences in a very casual manner. They see this trend in Pakistan as a dangerous situation.

Legendary Poet and lyricist Dr.C Narayana Reddy (85) passed away at Care Hospital in Hyderabad due to prolonged illness. He was born in Hanumajipeta of Karimnagar District in 1931.

'Navami Puvvu' (1953) is the first literary work of Ci Na Re. He entered into Film Industry in the year 1962 and penned close to 3,000 songs. He received his first Padma Award in 1977. The prestigious Jnanpith Award came his way in the year 1988 for the poem 'Viswambara'. This poem was included in the syllabus of Post-Graduate and Civils.

In 1992, Ci Na Re received Padma Vibhushan award from Indian Government. He became Rajya Sabha Member in 1997 after President of India nominated him.

C Narayana Reddy served as President of AP Official Language Sangham. In 1982, He was appointed as AP Government Advisor (Cultural Programmes). He was the Vice President of Ambedkar University in 1985 and Potti Sriramulu Telugu University in 1989.

Until now, Crimes such as Culpable Homicide, Robbery and Causing Grievous Hurt are punishable offenses with a maximum jail term of 7 Years. Now, Messing with River Ganga is being termed as a crime equivalent to it.

A Committee appointed by Centre has drafted National River Ganga (Rejuvenation, Protection and Management) Bill 2017. If this bill gets approved, People affecting River Ganga negatively such as blocking its flow, illegal constructions and quarrying on the banks will face 7 years jail term apart from Rs 100 crore fine.

Retired Justice Giridhar Malaviya is the head of panel formed for bill on River Ganga. The panel suggested declaration of area within 1 km radius from Ganga as a water-saving zone. Final draft will be prepared after holding consultation with the states (Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jhakhand and Uttar Pradesh) through which Ganga flows. This is the first time an Act is being made on a River.

Friction between Kesineni Nani & AP Transport Officials is known to one and all. The TDP MP was forced to apologize after disrespecting the Transport Commissioner in the presence of media. He even shut down his travels business following this controversy.

Kesineni Nani made some sensational allegations against the AP Transport Department. 'Corruption in Transport Department is on a huge scale. I had shut down my travels business only to avoid any bad remark on Me,' he said.

Recently, A private bus which was registered in Arunachal Pradesh and put to service illegally in Telugu States has met with an accident. Kesineni Nani alleged the illegal nexus between Transport Officials and Travel Agencies led to this situation. He complained that those travels which has been operating as per rules were incurring losses because of these irregularities. 'Arunachal Pradesh CM and Home Minister took action after receiving My Letter. But, there is hardly any response from AP Officials to the letter of an MP,' points out the Public Representative.

A PIL was filed in Madras High Court seeking probe into the death of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. While hearing the petition, HC questioned the petitioners under what capacity they sought an enquiry. 

High Court asked, 'Why the petitioners are suspecting conspiracy when none of the blood relatives have moved the court seeking probe?'. The next hearing of the PIL has been posted to February 23rd.

Meanwhile, Apollo Hospitals reported to the Madras High Court that it is willing to submit the complete medial reports summary to it in a sealed cover. 

Jayalalithaa passed away on December 5th due to cardiac arrest after being in the hospital for 75 days. People grew suspicious about her death because of the secrecy maintained by Tamil Nadu Government.
Andhra Pradesh Government seems to be aware of the battle between Mega and Nandamuri Fans during the Sankranthi season. Hence, Measures have been taken to prevent any sort of unhealthy or untoward incidents.

DGP Sambasiva Rao ordered Police Personnel and Concerned Government Officials to be prepared to handle any kind of sensitive issue. Instructions were given for implementing certain precautionary measures. Even Social Media comments will be monitored by the Cyber Crime Sleuths. Any kind of derogatory and provoking comments will be dealt seriously.

Mr. Rao cautioned Fans about the possibility of booking cases and jail term if they cross the line. Even Fans Associations were advised to guide the fans in a proper manner.

Tuni: TDP leader and SC Corporation Chairman Jupoodi Prabhakara Rao made a revelation. He said that in the Tuni train violence they have strong evidences about Bhoomana Karunakara Reddy's involvement in the train arson. He said that they have done a rehearsal of how to burn the train as well. He said the vocal evidence of Bhooman is there with the AP Government.

Jupoodi questioned connection of Bhoomana to Mudragada and reiterated that even God cant save Bhoomana in the case. Jupoodi said that CM Chandrababu is working with determination and that 80% of the people are very happy with his work. Jupoodi said that the opposition party could not do anything to save 21 of YCP MLAs that defected to TDP.

That said why is the government waiting when it has got strong evidence to book Bhoomana. Even people are upset with Tuni violence and will be glad to see crooks booked. Please go ahead Jupoodi!
Vijayawada: Two New Year revelers were killed and four injured in a road accident in Andhra Pradesh's Kadapa district on Sunday.

According to the state police, a group of youths indulged in bike racing to celebrate the New Year on the outskirts of Rajampet.

They were riding three motorcycles, which collided with one another and resulted in the death of two youths.

The injured were admitted to a local hospital, where the condition of two of them is stated to be critical.
Vijayawada: Both the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are on loan taking spree. Andhra Pradesh is asking for a 3000 crore loan again. The State Government has requested centre to grant permission for taking the extra loan in the form of a letter. State requested to increase the upper limit of loan. Already Andhra government took 18k loan.
In fact Telangana is not behind Andhra in this and the two are competing against each other. At the same time neither AP nor Telangana are stopping unwanted expenditures.

Loans that these governments take are going to be people's burden. Do we realize this?
