Trump celebrates Diwali in the United States
US President Donald Trump described the Diwali celebration as an important reminder of the significance of the country's fundamental principles - religious freedom. Diwali has been observed in America and Trump to all Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and Buddhists in Diwali happy and prosperous.Trump had celebrated Diwali with some American of Indian origin at the Oval Office and the press had not been allowed to enter the premises during the celebrations.
"My administration will defend our rights in our Constitution that allows all people to confess their religion and conscience," said Trump.
"At the beginning of Diwali, Melania and I wish that those who attend the Festival of Lights a blessed and happy feast," was added to Trump.
"Throughout this holy period, members of these religions engage in prayer, illuminate diyas and lanterns, and win traditional feasts and other festivities with their friends and family," said Trump.
