Legendary singer shot dead

In a shocking incident Pakistan's famous Qawwali singer Amjad Sabri was shot dead by an unidentifed person. He was attacked by a unidentified  gunmen in Liaquatabad area of Karachi this afternoon. Sabri was on way to a private television channel's studio to take a part in a show . Sabri and one of his  associate were in the car when the gunmen opened fire. The two were rushed to a hospital where Sabri succumbed to his injuries. Amjad Sabri was the son of Ghulam Sabri.



Sabri was recently in news when he announced  that he is set to approach an Indian court against Bollywood movie 'Bajrangi Bhaijan'. The film features a Qawwali of hi father late Ghulam Farid Sabri. Amjad Sabri expressed concerns over  inclusion of his father's Qawwali in the film without his permission.The producer of 'Bajrangi Bhaijan' was also served a legal notice by Amjab Sabri.
