Ramkumar, the accused in the murder case of Infosys techie Swathi, broke down and regretted killing the girl whom he loved during the interrogation. On the final day of police custody, Ramkumar confessed to have committed a mistake by killing Swathi.
Swathi had verbally abused Ramkumar when he proposed to her and few insulting remarks prompted him to kill her. The accused told he was is a dilemma whether to kill her or not before taking the final call.
Police recovered Swathi's phone which was taken away from her after attacking her at the Nungambakam Railway Station. The fingerprints on the sickle used in the murder matched with that of Ramkumar. DNA report proved that the blood in the bloodstains of Ramkumar's shirt is that of Swathi. The Tower Dump data collected by Cops also zeroed in Ramkumar. With all these evidences, Police were confident o proving that Ramkumar has committed the murder in a fit of rage.
