Turkey Army revolted against the ruling Government in the country citing dictator rule and terrorism. The capital city Ankara has been taken into the control by the Army. Even the Government-run Television and Radio weren't spared. Army Choppers have been working round the clock to monitor the situation.

Turkish President Erdogan who is currently in a foreign tour condemned the Army Coup. He warned that people behind the revolt will face severe consequences and also urged people to assembly on the streets in support of the ruling government. He expressed confidence that the crisis would end soon.



Turkey Army attacked Police Head Quarters using the Helicopter Gun Ships. It also dropped three bombs on Turkey Parliament forcing the MPs to take shelter. All the key Government Officials have been taken into custody. Bombs have been exploded in places like Ankara and Istambul. Turkey Army General Akar has been taken into custody by Army Personnel. So far, 60 people have been killed and 335 others were arrested as part of the Military coup.

In the past, Military Coup in Turkey took place four times (1960, 1971, 1980 & 1993).
