Kajal Agarwal is still in good demand down South despite back-to-back failures such as 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' and 'Brahmotsavam'. She is currently working for Teja's flick and few Tamil projects which include an Ajith starrer.

Highly placed sources inform that Kajal was approached to play the female lead in Chiru 150th Movie. People expect her to grab the opportunity without a second thought but that's not the case. She quoted a staggering remuneration of Rs 2.5 crore to be part of the project.

Usually, Kajal charges anywhere between Rs 1 crore to Rs 1.5 crore depending on the film. She took everyone by surprise with her demand of career-best price for a landmark movie.

Actually, The screen time of female lead is very less in 'Kaththi'. There is nothing much requirement except for few talkie scenes and songs. Even the requirement of number of call sheets would be less compared to her other films. Then, Why does Kajal place such a demand? Is it her way of rejecting a project?
