As expected, Telangana Government on Tuesday officially announced that Eamcet-2 has been cancelled.

Speaking to the media after a meeting with Ministers Kadiyum Srihari, Laxma Reddy, Higher Education Council Chairman Papireddy and Officials, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao explained that Eamcet-2 has been cancelled under unavoidable circumstances. 'Though its painful, We don't have an alternative. Students and Parents should co-operate. JNTU was given the responsibility to hold Eamcet-3. New Convenor and Co-Convenor will be appointed. Eamcet-3 schedule will be announced soon,' he informed.



KCR instructed Police Department to take stringent action against those involved in the leakage of Eamcet-2 question paper. He told, 'Mukul Jai, Mayank Sharma, Suneel Singh and Irfan are the main accused. Around 30 People have acted as brokers to execute the plan. They have struck a deal with Parents of close to 200 Students. None of them will be spared. Already, Six persons were arrested in connection with the case'.

Students who appear for Eamcet-3 examination needn't pay any fee. They will be permitted to travel in RTC Buses free of cost. Study Material and Question Bank will be placed on JNTU Website.
