Union Minister's 200-Car Convoy make headlines

Union Minister of State (Health & Family Welfare) Anupriya Patel made news for all the wrong reasons. An FIR was registered against her in Lucknow on Sunday for allegedly blocking the UP Road with 200 cars convoy.

Anupriya Patel made her first visit to Uttar Pradesh on Saturday afternoon after being sworn-in as Union Minister. Her supporters have reached Amausi Airport in big numbers to offer a grand welcome. Later, She visited Ambedkar Mahasabha and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Memorial with a 200-cars convoy. The show of strength by Mirzapur MP caused severe inconvenience to the commuters for about 2 hours as the 400-metre stretch between Burlington Crossing and GPO was completely blocked.



An FIR was lodged against Aupriya Patel & her supporters under Sections 143, 188 and 341 at Hazratganj police station. The Union Minister didn't sought prior permission for the rally and disturbed the normal life.
