Actress attempts Suicide due to Sexual Harassment | Andhra news daily

Tamil actress Aditi aka Athira Santhosh who is from Kerala attempted suicide by consuming poison due to the sexual harassment and torture from a Film Director. She was immediately rushed to a hospital in Chennai.

Speaking to media persons, Aditi accused Director Selva Kannan of sexually harassing her. She also informed about the complaints lodged with Police and Nadigar Sangam seeking action against the filmmaker.



Aditi complains Nadigar Sangam didn't support her as she wasn't a registered member of the Association. Nadigar Sangam general secretary Vishal visited Aditi in the hospital.

Reportedly, Director Selva Kannan brought the love proposal before Aditi and mounted pressure on her to marry him. Aditi, however, turned down the proposal. Since then, Selva Kannan began harassing her and even locked her in a room once. Some how, The actress managed to escape and returned to Kerala.

When Aditi landed in Chennai again for an Ad shoot, Selva Kannan stormed the sets along with few others and sexually harassed her. The Director forcibly dashed her head against the wall. This incident pushed her to take an extreme step.
