India defeated Pakistan on Sunday by a margin of 3-2 to win the Asian Champions Trophy hockey title. While India's Rupinder Pal Singh (18th minute), Yousuf Affan (23rd minute) and Nikkin Thimmaiah (51st minute) scored the three goals, Pakistan's managed only two goals with contribution from Muhammad Aleem Bilal (26th minute) and Ali Shan (38th minute).
The first edition of Asian Champions Trophy took place in 2011. India won the inaugural edition by beating Pakistan and has been to finals in three out of four editions of the tournament.
Pakistan, on the other hand, won the title in 2012 and also retained it in 2013.
For Yesterday's final, India's ace PR Sreejesh couldn't play as he pulled the hamstring. Still, The Team Team managed to defeat Pak to make Diwali even more special.
