Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to opt for a Cabinet Reshuffle in the first week of July. BJP President Amit Shah and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley met PM Yesterday to discuss about the changes to be made.

Modi has passed the ruling that people aging above 75 shouldn't be in the Union Cabinet. Ministers Najma Heptulla and Kalraj Mishra who's age exceeded the cut-off mark might be replaced.

Even the post of Minister Of State for Sports held by Sarbananda Sonowal until he sworn in as CM of Assam on May 25th this year has to be filled.



In view of Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls next year, Narendra Modi might induct few MPs from this state into his cabinet. Yogi Adityanath, Satyapal Singh and Sadhvi Savitri Bai Phoole have been in race for Ministerial Berth.

The last time Cabinet Reshuffle took place on March 7th, 2015. Manohar Parikkar and Suresh Prabhu were made Defence Minister and Railways Minister respectively. Arun Jaitley was given additional charge of Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
