Huge setback to TRS Government

Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday dismissed GO-123, GO-124 issued by TRS Government for carrying out land acquisition.

Last year, Telangana Government issued these GOs regarding the compensation to people who's lands were acquired for the Projects undertaken by it. Farmers of Rudrangi in Chandurthi Mandal of Karimnagar challenged the GO in High Court and demanded implementation of 2013 Land Acquisition Act. Agreeing with the loopholes in GOs issued by TRS Government, HC Bench struck down them and ordered for compensation as per Land Acquisition Act 2013. This judgement will have a huge impact on Mallannasagar and other projects taken up by Telangana Government. It might appeal against the HC Order in Supreme Court.



TDP Working President Revanth Reddy opined HC judgement is a fitting lesson to the State Government. He dared to go to any extent for people if Government doesn't abide by High Court's order.

Congress Leaders & Workers were in celebration mood after the High Court delivered the judgement on Land Acquisition. At Gandhi Bhavan, Crackers have been blasted and Sweets were distributed. Congress Leader V Hanumantha Rao told that only Government & Middlemen benefits from GO-123. He thanked the Division Bench of HC for favoring the Farmers.

All the Opposition Parties advised TRS Government to realize its mistake at least after this setback.
