TDP & BJP issue Whip @ Special Status & GST Bills

Alliance Partners TDP and BJP issued a whip to their Rajya Sabha Members to be present in the Upper House throughout the day debate & voting on couple of crucial Bills might happen.

Congress MP KVP Ramachandra Rao moved Private  Member Bill seeking Special Category Status for AP. On the other hand, Centre is firm on the passage of GST Bill in the Monsoon Session.

Congress party has already issued Whip asking its MPs to attend Rajya Sabha for the voting on KVP's private bill. The Main Opposition, however, isn't keen on extending support to GST Bill.



TDP Rajya Sabha Member TG Venkatesh on Friday advised Congress High Command to place a condition before Centre if its really concerned about AP. The condition would be that Congress would support GST Bill only if NDA Government accords AP with Special Category Status.
