Rs 500 crore Defamation Suit on Arnab Goswami

Controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik filed a defamation case against Times Now editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami for allegedly hurting religious sentiments and promoting disharmony.

Zakir Naik accuses Arnab Goswami of operating a hate campaign against him.He further adds, Mr.Arnab is spreading hatred among people of different religious communities and running media trail to tarnish his reputation.

Apparently, Zakir Naik came under the scanner after 22 foreigners were hacked to death in Dhaka recently. It is suspected that one of the people who carried out the brutal attack was highly influenced by the Islamic preachings of Zakir Naik. For the same reason, Bangladesh Government banned the broadcast of Zakir Naik's Peace TV in the country.



After the Nice attack, Zakir Naik declared that killing innocent people is wrong but its a war tactic for those who practice Islam.
